Welcome to Reception!

Reception Class Newsletter- Spring 2

We hope you enjoyed your half term break. This half term the children will be learning about dinosaurs in our topic “Do-you-think-he-saw-us?”
We will also be learning about events including Shrove Tuesday, World Book Day, Mothers Day and Red Nose Day.
We will be holding our Parents Activity Session on Monday 8th April at 3pm where you are invited to join us to take part in craft activities.

Baking money is now due for this half term. You may choose to pay £1.50 for the half term, or alternatively you may choose to pay £4.50 for the rest of the year. This should be paid on the Reception class door.

We have had some great feedback from parents and children from our phonics workout books. These are due back in on Wednesday 10th April. As a reminder, school reading books, reading records and key rings should be in school every day. Books will be changed every Tuesday and Friday.  Each time the children read their school reading book, they will move up the reading chart. Once 15 reads are logged they will be at the top of the chart and receive a golden ticket!

We would also like to thank those of you who have taken the time to contribute to your child’s learning journey by completing our star moments.  The children are enjoying sharing these moments with us and we are looking forward to hearing more about your children’s achievements out of school and what they have been doing at home. Our email address is monitored each week so you can send in pictures of your child’s achievements or things they would like to share directly to

Thank you for your continued support
