Welcome to Nursery!

Spring 2 Newsletter

Dear Parents/Guardians

Welcome back to Nursery!

Our topic this half term will be “999 What’s your Emergency?
We will be learning all about people in our community and people who help us. We have lots of visits from different people including fire-fighters, police and a nurse.

It is World Book Day Thursday 1st March; children are invited to dress up as their favourite character from a book. We will be sharing lots of stories and talking about our favourite books and characters.

Our materials table will now change to a sound table. We will be looking at a different sound each week and children are invited to bring an object from home beginning with this sound, the first sound will be ‘s’. Please help your child to look around the house to find something beginning with this sound.

Reading sessions will continue every Friday at 11am for Morning Nursery and 2:45pm for Afternoon Nursery.

Our Easter themed parent activity session will take place on Tuesday 20th March.

At least once every half term your child will be baking and we therefore request a small donation of £1.50 towards the cost of the ingredients; this money is due at the start of every half term. If your child has any allergies, could you please inform a member of staff as soon as possible, if you haven’t already done so.

We have sent out our letters for the Foundation Stage Wedding and already have received some reply slips and donations back. Further details will be sent out shortly.

Thank you for your continued support and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Miss Simpkin, Mrs Hollis & Mrs Penhallurick
