Race for Life

By now , your child should have brought the Race for Life sponsor form home. This is something that is very important to us because we have had a number of families affected by cancer over the last few years. If you would like to support this fabulous cause please look to get as many sponsors as possible. We would love to raise as much as we can.

If you would like to come and encourage your child along the way, please feel welcome to join us on  Friday 22nd June from 1:30 to watch as the children run, jog or walk. The Friends of Canon Popham will be selling drinks during the afternoon.

GDPR regulations.

Thank you to everyone who has returned their consent form for the school to hold the necessary information and contact details for your child.

There are still a number of unreturned consent forms. It is really important that we get these in as soon as possible because we will be unable to retain vital information, unless your consent is given.

Health and Safety Inspection

This week we had our local authority Health and Safety Inspection. This takes place every 3 years. I am delighted to tell you that we achieved an ‘outstanding’ grade in this for the second consecutive time. Thanks to all the staff who work hard every day to ensure that all the processes and procedures are in place to keep our children safe when they are at school or on a school visit

Canon Popham’s Got Talent.

We are all very much looking forward to this exciting evening, which takes place next Friday at 6pm. ( Doors open at 5;30). This will be our third year of this event and the previous 2  Grand Final nights have been fabulous. It therefore promises to be a great night . We are excited to see the children showing off their talents and celebrating what they can do. Tickets are selling very fast so if you would like to come please get your tickets from the office as soon as possible. They are £3 each.

Can we remind you that we ask for children to have their PE kits in school from Monday to Friday every week. This allows for changes in timetable, which are sometimes necessary, but also ensures that on designated PE days children have the right equipment in school.
