Harvest Thanks

Thank you to everyone who attended our Harvest services in church today. We hope you enjoyed them. A particularly big WELL DONE goes to the Reception children who tried so hard. It can be very daunting to perform in front of a packed church when you are only 4 years old! You were great! We are grateful for all the donations of food, which will be given to Doncaster Food Bank.

A thought about safeguarding . . .

A few parents have approached school to ask if a reminder can be put out via the newsletter to all parents to avoid putting photographs of children other than your own onto social media sites. At school occasions, we always remind parents to only take photographs of their own child and never to put photographs on social media which contain anyone else’s children. However, a few parents have noted that  on out of school occasions such as birthday parties some parents might be posting pictures that contain more than their own child. We have been asked to bring this safeguarding issue to your attention and to ask that you consider obtaining parental permission before posting any photograph containing someone else’s child  onto social media.

Thank you

Applications for places in Nursery places and Secondary Schools for September 2019

Parents of Year 6 pupils should be aware that the application forms for secondary school are now available on line. You should all have received a text message reminding you about this, and all Year 6 children came home with a letter today to remind parents how to complete the application process.

If you need any help completing the application please contact us at school– we will be happy to help you.

THE CLOSING DATE FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL APPLICATIONS IS  31ST OCTOBER 2018.  These should be completed and submitted ON LINE. Please make sure your application is submitted by this date. Late applications will not be considered in the first round of allocating places, and may result in your child not getting allocated a school place of your choosing.

If anyone knows any parents of children who will be 3 years old by 31st August 2019, and who are looking for a place in a Nursery for next year, please consider recommending us! Nursery applications are also available on line and should be printed off , completed and returned to us in school to apply for a place. There are also places available for ‘early starters’ in our Nursery from January 2019. Attending a school based nursery gives children a great start to their learning and helps to prepare them for life in school. In addition they are taught by trained teachers who are specialists in early years education. If you know of anyone who would be interested in coming to have a look around our nursery provision, with a view to completing an application form, please encourage them to give school a ring and come to have a look at us!
